Last year, I was in the middle of it all. I got better than ring side seats to every game because I was on the floor itself and better than that I was able to take photos. Yes, covering the UAAP Basketball season and all the other UAAP sports gave me a lot of sleepless nights (as I was only able to start doing homework Sunday night to Monday) - it was one of the most incredible experiences I have ever encountered.
This year however, I wasn’t even in Araneta Coliseum. I was stuck in the office and worst of all I had to work in the first three quarters and I just timed my break to catch the fourth and final quarter. I just felt so sad for myself and happy at the same time because we managed an amazing three-peat despite losing our two towers and Jai to graduation. With the addition of Greg Slaughter and Kiefer Ravena next season, there’s only good things to come.
Watch out for me world! I shall return!

I wanted to post these photos ages ago but only got the chance to do it now because it had to come out in The GUIDON first. While it makes me sad that the season is over, I am extremely grateful that I got the chance to shoot their games this season and them winning it is just surreal. This is one of my greatest college dreams and I am very happy that it came true!
